Starting from Heraklion:
1st Day Tour: Knossos and Phaistos palace, lunch in the south of Crete. Explore the two largest Minoan palaces of the island of Crete and see the diversity of the landscape. (Lunch – entrance fees – transportation – licensed guide – maps and plans – all taxes and VAT included)
2nd Day Tour: Archaeological museum of Heraklion, city tour and tasting of local products, winery tour and tasting, panoramic drive of central Crete. (Lunch – entrance fees – transportation – wine tour and tasting – licensed guide – maps and plans – all taxes and VAT included)
3rd Day Tour: Rethymnon and Chania, tasting of local products along the way, city tours in both old towns, stops to enjoy the panoramic view. (Lunch – entrance fees – transportation –licensed guide – maps and plans – all taxes and VAT included)
Early start is advised to avoid crowds and long lines in archeological sites.
Transportation, guiding services of a professional licensed guide/ archaeologist, entrance fees, lunch (snack/wine tasting/olive oil tasting – according to the program per day), all legal taxes, fuel / parking costs and VAT 24% is included. Accommodation is not included.
Cost: The cost of the tour is 1000 euro per day ( 3000 euro for three days of private service all included ) . The cost refers to 1 – 3 participants. For more participants contact us to provide accurate information about the extra cost. We can accommodate groups up to 11 participants ( Sprinter mini bus) or larger groups (special discounts will apply) – contact us for details regarding the cost.
Duration of the tour: Estimate the duration of the tour per day to at least 8 – 9 hours.
Group capacity: The tour refers to a group up to 3 participants. We can accommodate up to 6 participants with a van . For a larger group we use a mini bus ( 11 to 19 seats) – Kindly contact us for accurate information regarding the additional cost.
Skip the line entrance: All entrance tickets and fees are included , so we will not have to wait to buy tickets – the guide will arrange this . Some archaeological sites do not offer the option to prebuy the tickets via internet , but we will arrange it on the spot. In any case we will arrange it.
Where should we meet the guide?: The professional licensed guide will pick you up from the hotel / or accommodation in the area of Heraklion. If your accommodation is in a different area ( not in the city of Heraklion , port of Heraklion or Airport of Heraklion ) contact us to inform you about the cost / if any.
When: Available all year around, according to the opening hours of the sites.
Who organizes the tour?: The tour is organized by Visit Knossos a website operated by Panos Kritikos and Ioanna Christofakaki, both professional licensed guides and owners of the travel agency – Guides of Greece Sustainable Tourism Development – Tailor Made Travel Services E.E (with registered TRADEMARK N254686). The tour is offered directly to the guests / visitors of Crete and our services are not available through any of the online platforms ( such as Viator, Getyourguide, Toursbylocals etc).
If the starting point is different?: If the location of your accommodation is not Heraklion, we can customize the itinerary per day accordingly and based on the distances, so that you will see the highlights. Keep in mind though, that some highlights are just too far, for example if your accommodation is Chania , you cannot visit Spinalonga and get back to Chania – that is at least 15 hours on the road. Distances are difficult to cover on Crete, due to the mountainous landscape and in some cases ( during summer) traffic or crowds…
If we wish more full day tours (4 or 5 tours) or less (1 or 2 day tours): The program we offer is a suggestion, of course we can arrange a tailor made experience according to your needs for more or less days , depending on your plans . What if we are a larger group? : We can accommodate a larger group with our company vehicles – so contact us to arrange the ideal program for your group.
Can we reduce the cost? : Yes of course, once again this is a suggestive program . You might need to exclude the lunches or tickets etc, contact us to get an offer according to your needs.

- Services of a professional licensed qualified guide or an archeologist qualified guide
- Invoice will be provided by our travel agency ( transaction is through a secure website of the bank, the credit card receipt is the invoice)
- bottle of water per person
- Maps and plans of the sites
- Audio system – whispers (indoors or in sites to avoid the crowds )
- VAT (24%) and all taxes, fuel and parking costs.
- Tasting of local products, wine , snacks/coffee and lunch is included according to the program per day
- All Entrance fees of the archaeological sites
- Transportation with our company vehicles (SUV or VAN), all fuel and parking costs.
- The service is private / according to your pace. Pre- issued tickets and skip the line entry in most of the sites .

- Breakfast or dinner is not included
